How discovering that Paris actually does have skyscrapers turned into an amazing day.

Welcome to La Défense.

The business district.

Paris (thankfully) has a city ordinance in place that bans skyscrapers so as to protect the beautiful skyline.

But we were allowed on an optional trip to La Défense, just barely outside of the city borders, where they shoved all the skyscrapers.  I was just along for the ride this morning, not excited, but who knew I would see this??!

Paris friends-our album cover is coming soon.

The entire Notre Dame fits nice and snug underneath this arch. Enormous.
I did NOT expect this at all.  Not only was this the epitome of "modern business" district, but it was unlike anything I've ever experienced.  When we arrived, there was nobody around.  We were downtown and it was silent, peaceful, and spotlessly clean. Even when the offices let out for lunch at noon and the streets filled up, it wasn't even that crowded.  There was plenty of room for everyone.  And so innovative, too! I truly caught a glimpse of what the future looks like today. And I'm sorta stoked for it.
NYC could take a few notes.  I'm just saying.

If you want to know what "completely content in every way" looks like.....

All my love, B.
