start.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen....or I guess I should say morning now?

Happy 12:30 a.m!

I just got done watching my beloved TV show, Parenthood, and then (because it's obviously still far too early to go to sleep just yet) proceeded to take crappy webcam photos.

So this is me, barely over a week into 2012 and exactly a week into Winter Semester 2012.

Quick! Scroll down to the bottom and press pause on my playlist so you can listen to this song:  I looooove City and Colour and they kept me plenty company while doing my long hours of homework this afternoon.

I regret x 10098208488343 having to miss this concert on 11.11.11. Oh well.

Anyway, here's the rundown of my first week back in the big beautiful mountains of Utah.

Tuesday 1.3

Arrival
Buying books
Filling up on gas
Reuniting with amazing roommates and meeting new friends
Delicious vegan dinner with the fantastic and kind Moreland family in SLC.
Having fun and opening gifts
Catching up, talking and watching movies

Wednesday 1.4

First day of school
Plenty of syllabus discussions
Feeling the stress settle in
Mission prep-going to be the most amazing class ever.
French 201-so excited but I never realized I knew so little
Quick nap.
Midday quick road trip back to SLC.
Humanities-this class is going to eat my dinner but it is SO interesting.
EARLY night.

Thursday 1.5

French class-encore
TA meeting-getting more hours to get paid to do homework? Don't mind if I do!
Psychology Research, Design and Analysis-ughhhhhhhhhhh. I can't wait to get back to the interesting stuff.
Exercising!

Friday 1.6
Français-une plus temp cette semaine
Physical Science audit day 1-adorable nerdy German professor (who says Einschtein for Einstein. Loveit.)
Finally buying food-no more eating cookies and chips for dinner.
Long naptime alone in the apartment. Much needed.
Mistakenly thinking with Amanda and Laura that our $10 monthly Provo Gold's gym passes would work at the super facility in Orem.  Embarrassing.
But!!! $2 tanning? Ok sure.

Saturday 1.7
Sleeping in
Doing absolutely no homework.
Climbing a mountain. Apologies. I have to put in a few pictures here.

Catching snowflakes

Snow-covered fence

Beautiful Colors

Snow shoes

Winning at Self-Timer

The path already traveled.

Making it to the top

Being triumphant.

It was foggy all the way up and then the clouds cleared just as we made it so we could see the whole city!

Horizon.

So maybe that was more than just a few pictures. But it was amazing. So rewarding.
Anyway...
Going to see Amanda's play
Watching movies

Sunday 1.8

Not being able to sleep until 6:30 a.m.
Trying to get up at 8:00 a.m.
Not happening.
Going back to bed.
Waking up at 1:00 p.m. for Break the Fast
Meeting New People
Reading for Humanities--SO INTERESTING.
Watching Dear John and The Notebook--girl's night movies much?

Monday 1.9

French-again. Ahhhhhh.
Physical Science-getting hit on by someone with knuckle tattoos.  Thanks but no thanks.
Lunch with Creytn :)
Learning the best news of my entire life--an old best friend may get baptized!
Realizing how important the gospel is and how much I love knowing that someone new recognizes the light of Christ in them.
Humanities-you know what I think about that class already.
Skyping

Tuesday 1.10

Free hot cocoa, donuts, and ride to school-yes please and thanks.
French-once again.
Devotional from Cecil Samuelson-marriage took all of 10 minutes to come up.
First library time.
Psychology-what is science? I learned today, as if I had no idea before.
Watching The Girl Who Played With Fire-Swede version. So so good.
So much homework.
So much Arrested Development.
And now True Grit and heading to bed.

So here we are.

Christmas break was great, by the way.  I love and do miss my family.  I felt so at home reuniting with Sydney Brooke and Stephanie Elise.  It was busy though, I worked more than I anticipated, and I found out I'm going to France (but you already knew that). So now I have a big fat check to write to my father. Excellent.  Worth it.

This semester is going to be interesting, and hopefully somewhat less impossibly difficult than Fall (as far as schoolwork goes), but I have next to no motivation to do it.  I know that France is so close, I just think that these next few months should just.......pass on by.  I want to go right now.

Finally, the twins and I have always wanted to start a style blog, so we've got one in the works, in the very early stages.  But the idea is to have a place to show how easy and fun it is to be a college student on a tight budget and still find a way to look put together and stylish.

Keep your eyes out for the upcoming facebook page, but for now help us to get off the ground by going to

and follow us!

Anyway....

A widely-known and one of my absolute favorite quote, and something I hope to live by this year.
A resolution of sorts.

Everything is good today.

All my love, B.
